Go through the Spanish words/phrases with the class, everyone repeating them three times. Split pupils into pairs and ask them to think of scenarios which they can use for each one (miming the activity and then saying the Spanish word). Ask each pair to act out one scenario, using the word and the rest of the class have to guess what they’re doing.
Split the class into groups and explain that they have to come up with Spanish television adverts for Fairtrade. All the words must be in Spanish but they can mime as much as they like and use props. Each television advert will be filmed for the class to watch back.
Place the Spanish words and phrases into a box or bag. Split the class into teams. One volunteer from each team picks a word and then has to describe it to their team without using the word itself. If pupils guess it correctly the team gains a point.
