Why Get Involved?

Not only is it a brilliant, active way to develop students' teamwork and business skills, but involvement with Traidcraft can help your school fulfil government requirements and achieve a range of awards at the same time.

It is important for students to understand something of the community they are part of at a local, national and international level. Teaching Fairtrade provides a brilliant vehicle for this, with case studies and stories of how real children like them have benefited from Fairtrade and easy ways for students to get involved and make a difference themselves to these members of their global community.

Curriculum links in citizenship, Geography, RE and English provide opportunities for an integrated approach to the subject of fair trade.

And if your school is working towards achieving any of the following awards, getting involved with Traidcraft can help fulfil the criteria for those too!
