A fun and effective simulation game suitable for ages 8-adult. You will need 15-35 participants and at least 1 hour to play and debrief. Demonstrates how difficult it is to make ends meet as a producer in the developing world

This activity works well as a demonstration in an assembly or lesson.


Create a vibrant visual and tactile display and demonstrate the impact of Fairtrade around the world by sticking Fairtrade ingredients onto a world map. Send in pictures of your completed collage for a chance to feature in Traidcraft's catalogue!


There are a few ideas here for small-group competitions with rules weighted in favour of one team over another. Great as part of a talk, lesson or assembly to illustrate why Fairtrade is needed.


This competition for ages 7 - 18 gives groups of children the chance to invent and design their own Fairtrade snack, packaging and marketing campaign. There's also a poster competition for ages 5 - 7. Prizes include cash for the school and Fairtrade goody bags for the children. The 2011 competition closes on 8th April but the activity can be used all year round!


This game is great as part of a lesson or talk and can be easily adapted for different agegroups.
