The activity is in two different formats. The first is the activity as a purely arts and crafts resource. The second link offers the same resource in a form which is suitable for a religious education lesson.

Learn about the life of a tea farmer, and get crafty at the same time!

This resource explores the life of a tea farmer through the eyes of 12 year old Shathi, in Bangladesh. The resource is suitable for KS 1 and 2.

The resource contains background on Shathi's life, a powerpoint showing images of her in the tea fields, and ideas for tea hunts and felt coaster making. There are also ideas for extending the activities, if more of a challenge is required!

This resource is a wonderful look at fair trade at any time of the year, but would be perfect for helping your school get involved in Fairtrade Fortnight!
