In this lesson students explore Fairtrade using digital media.
 
2 - Fairtrade Wheel
In this lesson students draw a Fairtrade wheel to demonstrate the different aspects of Fairtrade and how they are connected.
 
3 - Fairtrade Debate
In this lesson students debate the quote "Fairtrade is an instrument of justice."
 
4 - The Journey of a Fairtrade Grain of Rice
In this lesson, students explore the supply chain and all those involved in producing, buying and selling rice on the international market.
 
5 - Fairtrade Mascots
In this lesson students explore the idea of a mascot and create a Fairtrade mascot.
 
6 - Fairtrade Questions
In this lesson the class carries out a survey to investigate different attitudes towards Fairtrade. They then analyse the results and produce a report showing the results.
 
7 - Taking a Global View
In this lesson the class explores media representation of different developing countries and then produces a class newspaper which represents issues in a balanced way.
 
8 - What Connects us to the World?
In this lesson students consider how they are connected to other countries and then discusses the implications of interdependence.
 
9 -The Pillars of a Constitution
In this lesson the class thinks about rules and expectations in society in the context of both Apartheid and Fairtrade.
 
10 - Shoebox of Change
In this lesson the students think about cause and effect. They take an action to support Fairtrade and then consider the effect it has had a month later.
